UX is an award-winning Mozambican company developing locally-relevant, market-driven and self-sustainable tech-based products and services for high social and economic impact in emerging markets. We approach our work using two distinct methods. Firstly, we pioneered a novel bootstrap approach for startups in markets with no access to impact investment and poor services by providing affordable tech consultancies for development agencies and businesses in exchange for ownership of the products created. Secondly, by using the know-how of development experts and tying it to our product and business design experience, we have ensured that development programs become self-sufficient after donor fund depletion. For us, donor funds are investment opportunities for tech services that can scale and be replicated. This has allowed us to create our own disruptive solutions by aligning commercial success to social good. We democratize access to our solutions by charging businesses and institutions with purchasing power for value-added services, to subsidize free services for SMEs and our end users. We use a Cross-Subsidized Business Model coupled with what we call the Donor-Up approach.

Let our AI agents find the pain points in your system, automate your way to success - and unleash the real brains of your company to focus on your core business.
We’ve spent the past 12 years researching how to best put artificial intelligence and machine learning to work for you. The result is our Global Performance System (GPS) tool, a platform based on our own proprietary algorithms, yet compatible with all major software. GPS designs then unleashes autonomous, self-learning intelligent agents to sift through colossal amounts of data. GPS gives data a voice ౼ helping to identify a company’s vulnerabilities and potential opportunities, get to the root of the problems and create automated solutions. And it does so faster and more accurately than humanly possible.
We like to call it a “data scientist in a box” - and it’s going to transform the way you do business. A single AI agent, for example, can process 2 million invoices in seconds… work that would take a human 4,166 days. Now imagine how this could impact performance, risk management and the ability of business leaders to make informed decisions.

The Study Groups of ITU’s Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) assemble experts from around the world to develop international standards known as ITU-T Recommendations which act as defining elements in the global infrastructure of information and communication technologies (ICTs). Standards are critical to the interoperability of ICTs and whether we exchange voice, video or data messages, standards enable global communications by ensuring that countries’ ICT networks and devices are speaking the same language.
International ICT standards avoid costly market battles over preferred technologies, and for companies from emerging markets, they create a level playing field which provides access to new markets. They are an essential aid to developing countries in building their infrastructure and encouraging economic development, and through economies of scale, they can reduce costs for all: manufacturers, operators and consumers.
From its inception in 1865, ITU-T has driven a contribution-led, consensus-based approach to standards development in which all countries and companies, no matter how large or small, are afforded equal rights to influence the development of ITU-T Recommendations. From its beginnings as a body standardizing international telegraph exchange, through its formative role in telecommunications, and in today’s converged ICT ecosystem, ITU-T has provided the world’s best facilities to the global standardization community and remains the world’s only truly global ICT standards body.
Based at ITU’s headquarters in Geneva, the Telecommunication Standardization Bureau (TSB) provides secretariat support to ITU-T Study Groups through sophisticated electronic working methods and state-of-the-art facilities in Geneva accommodating the six official languages of the Union – Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish. Headed by an elected official with the title Director, it is the body responsible for providing cohesion to ITU-T’s standards development process.
Why should Exhibition visitors come to our stand?
The main products of ITU-T are Recommendations (ITU-T Recs) - standards defining how telecommunication networks operate and interwork. These can be accessed through the links below. ITU-T Recs have non-mandatory status until they are adopted in national laws. The level of compliance is nonetheless high due to international applicability and the high quality guaranteed by ITU-T's secretariat, and members from the world's foremost information and communication technology (ICT) companies and global administrations.
There are over 4000 Recommendations in force on topics from service definition to network architecture and security, from broadband DSL to Gbit/s optical transmission systems, next-generation networks (NGN) and IP-related issues. All of these topics make part of the fundamental components of today's ICTs.
Membership of ITU-T gives exclusive rights to access working documents of standards under development – tomorrow's ICTs. The vast majority of all Recommendations are available in electronic (PDF) form, free of charge to all, once the final, edited version is published. Texts that are not free of charge include common ITU-T | ISO / IEC texts for which special arrangements exist. Find out more about membership here.
ITU-T Recommendations are available through the Website in tree views, offering multi-criteria search and cross navigation facilities. Each ITU-T Recommendation is cross-linked to the corresponding work programme item, approval process, formal descriptions (more than 1400 freely available), test signals (more than 15 GB of data freely available), supplements, implementer's guides, and IPR statements when applicable.

We have technology to lengthen the life of lead-acid batteries, and to regenerate old abandoned lead-acid batteries for re-use using our patented additive "Super-K" developed by Dr. Akiya Kozawa. In secondary batteries (rechargeable batteries), lead-acid batteries still represent the biggest production and demand in the world. Expensive big capacity lead-acid batteries can be re-used with our technology, and our technology results in a reduction of costs for battery replacements as well as a reduction of industrial waste. Good for the economy and good for the environment! With our tehnology and Super-K additive, old abandoned lead-acid batteries used for telecom towers, electric forklifts, electric rickshaws, electric golf carts, etc. can be regenerated and can be used again for years.
For people in developing countries, who need electric power, especially in non-electrified regions and in areas where power supply is problematic, lead-acid batteries are common to enable the use and enjoyment of ICT equipments. But the cost of batteries is a heavy burden for those people . and we can reduce that cost.

Community Tablet / Technology for Social Impact
In the 4.0 Industrial Revolution era, the race for technology is at its peak with the development of Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and the use of big data reshaping our day to day lives. However, this era is widening the gap between the rich and poor countries. Technologies must serve other purposes beyond profit alone and target vulnerable populations for a real, longstandig social impact, addressing global issues in order to promote behaviour change and contribute to the materialization of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Against this background, as an African entrepreneur, my priority is to come up with solutions that address the real needs of the African people, and of other developing regions, with a view to lessen disparities within and between countries or regions, and to focus on a future that is sustainable. I see technology as a means to an end and not driven by profit alone.
With this in mind, I have started a social venture and created the Community Tablet - the first mobile digital school that has recently been registered with the UK Intellectual Property Office. Its unique, innovative platform aims at bringing technology to remote rural communities in Africa, bridging the education gap and the digital divide, allowing better reach and inclusivity, and delivering the greatest impact.
Why should Exhibition visitors come to our stand
We have created the first Digital School patented in the UK to assist rural communities in remote areas which are digitally excluded. Our product is called The Community Tablet and is a robust crate which can be towed by any vehicle or animal traction, enabling it to reach remote rural communities in developing countries with difficult road access. In addition, it is not dependent on utility providers as it is solar powered and internet connection is provided via satellite. This unique platform comprises up to 4 touch screens on one side of the crate, varying from 22 to 42 inches. These touch screens are made of hard glass, can be used for browsing and have all the functionalities that a normal computer has. On top of that, the software is adapted to the population's needs and circumstances. It is user friendly and adapted to all members of the community, including the blind and visually handicapped through our voice to text and text to voice system. Animation and gamification are used to engage and deliver messages in an effective way. Messages are customized according to the needs of each segment of the targeted population. Our software is user friendly. Quizzes are used to assess the effectiveness of the messages delivered. The feedback is collected on the spot from each individual through our system. We get to know who has learnt what and how. On the other side of the crate there is a 110 inch screen with loud speakers for live videoconferences, to allow online teaching and play educational videos.
We teach on the spot, we go where no one else goes in remote, rural communities, we empower people very fast and we promote digital inclusion
We are doing what we can to contribute to the SDG Goals, including quality education and reduced inequalities, and can contribute to much more using our platform and the correct strategic alliances. This can only happen if we have visitors to our stands so we can share ideas!
We take effective information and education to vulnerable people in a breakthrough, innovative way.

To understand the impact of technology to Angolan smallholder farmers. Market access is one of the biggest problem for African and specially Angolan smallholder farmers. One of the ways for them to increase their yield is through confirmation of market at the end of the crop season. Now this is possible through marketplace platforms but Kepya doesn't work just as a platform to ensure market access it also provides the logistics support and brings other players into the ecosystem so everyone in the agribusiness can be easily reached by a phone call, sms or app. This is creating jobs, fighting poverty and producing hope to the new generation of your farmers.

We are global drone lighting supplier. We empower any drone with our proprietary high-intensity, high focus laser-lighting technology. Our laser light is 30% brighter than LED or Xenon lights, 2x brighter than LED, and is effective at elevations up to 300M. We are the only laser-based light system on the market today. Our laser light system can be installed in factories, oil and gas facilities, and construction sites. The key to our technology's unique capabilities is that it transforms a simple blue laser into a high-powered, concentrated white-light source. Our blue laser diode radiates a short spectral beam, and focuses it on a tiny spot on a phosphor, which converts it into white light. This small point-light is concentrated by a reflective optic surface, and is projected onto a long-distance target zone. Systech is seeking to expand the market for our drone lighting with its high reliability and functionality. Therefore we want to find a strategic partner who has developed their own drone system or service model and adapt their operational application. We are also seeking an international investor who believes in the drone night navigation market and thus values our offer.

Talamus, a comprehensive and integrated mobile health platform with patient controlled interoperability was created as an answer to the plethora of challenges in the healthcare delivery space in Ghana, Sub-Saharan Africa and Africa as a whole. Best practices in developed worlds have the collection of and analysis of data as the backbone to the development of better healthcare delivery and addressing the healthcare needs of their populace.
The situation in Sub-Saharan Africa and Africa in general is different, with our largest organization in the healthcare space (the government) unable to effectively collect and analyze healthcare data due to the disorganized and fragmented nature of healthcare delivery on the continent. We also realize that very few, if not any organizations at all are currently aiming to collect and use data analytics and machine learning to understand the changing landscape of African disease burden. Very few governmental institutions are currently equipped to do in-depth analysis of the healthcare landscape.
At the governmental and other supervisory agency levels, the increasing shift in the hea lthcare burden from communicable to chronic diseases, the increasing need for long term care and better management of complex chronic diseases, the need for better care coordination between health professionals to facilitate better outcomes and reduce cost, the need for patient education and empowerment in the care process to help facilitate better clinical outcomes, and the need to understand demographic changes and their effect of disease burden in order facilitate and improve healthcare delivery models all underscore a required shift from how we have handled healthcare service delivery on the continent.
For health care professionals and institutions, a majority of them are still using pen and paper which leads to scattered and disconnected critical patient medical history and information. The few who are using health Information System are burdened with the huge cost of acquiring such systems, constrained in sharing critical patient health information to the patients as well as other providers that may need them to make better healthcare decisions.
Why should Exhibition visitors come to our stand?
We are breaking boundaries and frontiers; pushing what is possible today with tomorrow's technology.
Come to our stand to find out about the ambitious platform that is going to be the trusted service for healthcare service delivery in Africa, offering awesome features such as patient engagement through appointments, access to your health records on the go, access to service providers, specialist all at the touch of your fingertips, graphed and tracked vitals that show you pictorially what is happening with your health and robust Tele medicine capabilities.
We give doctors the ability to dictate their notes, have a bird’s eye view of a patient’s medical records by tracking movements of the patient through the healthcare ecosystem.
The future of healthcare, in the palm of your hands;

Why should Exhibition visitors come to our stand?
Are you aware that a big part of the population is unable to contact emergency services by themselves? Are you aware that with today's technology it shouldn't be the case, but that technology is not put to use?
Today, the main way to contact emergency services is by voice phone, and sometimes (but rarely) by fax, which was offered for deaf people (but in a case of emergency, who has time to fax? And what if they are outside? And where would you put on the fax?). This leaves out a lot of people who cannot communicate by voice, who don't have the language skills to explain the situation, who don't have a phone, and more.
Come and meet us to see what we can offer to remedy this dangerous situation.
